Cooler 1: Day 4

How many of you are hanging in there on Cooler 1? Does anyone plan to join me when I start Tosca Reno’s Eat-Clean Diet Stripped plan next week? I promise it’s much more lenient that Cooler 1. ;-)

The following is my food journal so far today along with my planned eats for the rest of the day.

Breakfast: Cooler 1 Zucchini Breakfast Bake + 2 scrambled egg whites + 1/2 yolk

The Cooler 1 Zucchini Breakfast Bake was just so-so. The texture was right on, but it almost tasted savory vs. sweet. Plus it took FOREVER to cook. I baked it at 375° for 40 minutes and it could have gone longer! Allan had a little Frank’s on his and he liked it. :-)

Second Breakfast: 2 Cooler 1 Protein Donuts (1/2 serving oats + 1 serving zucchini + 1/4 serving apple)

Lunch: Leftover grilled turkey burger (ground white meat turkey + oats + herbamare + sea salt + pepper + liquid smoke) + 1 handful mixed greens + 1 handful cucumbers + 1 baked sweet potato

Afternoon Snack: 3 Cooler 1 Chocolate Protein Muffins (1/2 serving oats + 1 serving zucchini + 1/4 serving apple)

These came out dry, I think that the rice protein powder that I used changed the texture for the worse. :-(

Planned eats for the rest of the day…

Supper: Spaghetti – 92% lean 100% grass fed ground beef + spaghetti squash + roasted tomatoes + roasted garlic + nutritional yeast + fresh rosemary + basil from our backyard

I cannot wait to enjoy this meal!!!

Evening Snack: apple + protein powder + almond milk

What are you meal do you have planned that you are super excited to enjoy?

I cannot wait for tonight’s spaghetti. It is going to be out of this world spectacular!!!

  1. Oh, Maria, you’re doing so well!

    I have a cake hangover today, ate to much at DD’s school event. I knew it would make me feel like sh¤%/ today, still I did fall for the temptation!
    Did a 4.5K run this morning, but that don’t seem to help.. My poor body has to deal with this (anything but clean) cakes for the entire day now..

      Kristin, as Jahra said, you will work that cake off quickly. Remember. life is meant to be lived! Moments like this only come around once in a while… it’s not like you are indulging in unclean cake every day, my dear. :) Don’t beat yourself up over it. Forgive yourself and move on to your eat-clean ways.

    Thank you so much for sharing your food journal. I am following along with you
    and adding an exercise journal as well. Looking forward to more Eat Clean diet
    recipes and I will follow next weeks as well as I have the Eat Clean diet Stripped book too.

    So far, using Trudie Stylers dvds to get started again with an exercise schedule.

    Kristen, you will run off that cake in a heartbeat! Just hop right back on your Clean Eating

      Hi Meredith, I just scoured through my notes and cannot find the recipe for the life of me! I am so sorry. What I believe I did was to remove all sweetener this zucchini bake recipe, replace the egg with 2 egg whites, use unsweetened almond milk and applesauce and omit the nuts. I remember that the bake took FOREVER to bake… close to 40 minutes, so this recipe might be best bakes in muffin tins vs. the larger ramekin.
