Happy Valentine’s Day!
Back in September I did a series of blog posts on how we strive to reduce waste in our home. We even hosted a party for our friends and family with the goal of producing as little waste as possible. I started composting and found a renewed passion for preserving the world God created for us.
This morning my friend, Laura, sent me a link to a great zero waste tips page from the blog, The Zero Waste Home. I have already implemented many of the tips that are listed, but several of them were either great reminders of projects I have meant to start or great ways at rethinking environmental consciousness.
For example, I have been meaning to pick up several dozen organic kitchen towels that I can use in lieu of paper towels. I also could use a few dozen more cloth napkins. I have always wanted a set of produce bags, but the price tag has kept me from buying them. These are all items that I should invest in, but just haven’t.
What are your favorite waste reduction tips? I am sure that we would all love to learn from one another to live a cleaner and greener life!
