Hello my friends. I just wanted to stop in to wish all of my American readers a Happy Thanksgiving filled with good food, close friends and family and lasting memories. Try to make good choices, don’t come to the Thanksgiving table starving and allow yourself a treat or two. Remember the you will be back on your Clean Eating path tomorrow. But most of all, remember to take a moment to give thanks to God for his blessings.
Psalm 100
A Thanksgiving Psalm
On your feet now—applaud God! Bring a gift of laughter,
sing yourselves into his presence.
Know this: God is God, and God, God.
He made us; we didn’t make him.
We’re his people, his well-tended sheep.
Enter with the password: “Thank you!”
Make yourselves at home, talking praise.
Thank him. Worship him.
For God is sheer beauty,
all-generous in love,
loyal always and ever.
If you plan to brave the crowds tomorrow, remember to bring a few simple snacks and a big bottle (or two) of water. Keep your calm and try to make it fun. I look at Black Friday shopping as an adventure!
Here are a few snack ideas that are portable and easy to eat while waiting in line:
- Raw Almonds + Apple
- Slice of bread + Nut Butter + Banana
- Purple Pride Smoothie – pour into a mason jar and drink up!
- Pumpkin Pie Protein Bars
- Nutty Maple Cinnamon Protein Muffins
- Microwave Protein Cake
- Chocolate Protein Bars
- Dough Balls
- Oats + Protein Powder – all you need is a bit of hot water and a cup
Also, I wanted to share this super cute video of Matthew doing a Sun Salutation. The song playing is Kira Willey’s Dance for the Sun.
