Hello my friends.
If you follow me on Twitter, are friends with me on Facebook or like MMM on Facebook, you know that I have been hard at work creating Thanksgiving printables to streamline your Thanksgiving shopping, prep and cooking. I have a lot to share, so let’s get right into it!
For the last week, I have been sharing the Thanksgiving recipes I plan to make next week when we host both families for Thanksgiving. We are so very blessed that both of our immediate families like each other and will be in town at the same time next week. It is a tradition for everyone to gather at our house to enjoy the day together. Usually I serve a traditional feast, but this year I decided to switch up a couple of the recipes.
The following are the recipes that I plan to make on Thanksgiving:
Spicy and Smoky Turkey Rub
Roast Turkey with Herby Gravy
Cherry, Apple and Mushroom Stuffing
Spiced Cranberry and Apple Sauce
Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Pecans
Green Bean, Beet and Goat Cheese Salad
Souffléd Sweet Potato Bake
Homestyle Mashed Potatoes (recipe in printable PDF)
Whole Grain Gluten-Free Bread
Pumpkin Brownie Pie
You can click on each of the above hyperlinks to be brought to the individual recipe post where I blogged about the recipe or you can download the following compiled Printable Thanksgiving Menu and Recipes PDF. Please note that each recipe will feed approximately 10-12 adults.
Please note that the PDF does not include the (poor) recipe photos so that it can be easily printed. I plan to post updated photos of each recipe next week after our Thanksgiving feast.
The printable PDF will be especially helpful next week as you are prepping and making the recipes, as you won’t have to search MMM each time that you want a recipe, plus the PDF will save you paper and ink when printing. 🙂
Also, the PDF includes a bonus recipe for Homestyle Mashed Potatoes in addition to a tip for baking your own delicious gluten-free bread!
In addition to the recipes listed, we will also be enjoying a Pear Pie (courtesy of my Mom), Appetizers (that my mother-in-law is bringing) along with wine and beer.
I know that shopping and prepping for Thanksgiving can be intimidating and time consuming, not to mention frustrating! So my next printables are intended to help you streamline your week.
Going through your recipes for Thanksgiving and creating a shopping list can be quite cumbersome… Leaving you wondering, did I remember to write everything down? will I have enough carrots? etc. For some reason, I always end up forgetting something and needing to run to the store midweek.
Not to worry, I have done all of the tedious work for you! If you plan to make all of the recipes in my Printable Thanksgiving Menu and Recipes, then all you have to do is download and print my Thanksgiving Grocery Shopping List. I organized the list by similar items so that you can shop smarter and save time in the store this weekend. It’s as easy as Pumpkin Brownie Pie!
Now that all of the food shopping is complete, it’s time for the fun, yet time consuming, part: actually making all of the recipes.
Every year I write up a Thanksgiving Game Plan for myself – each day leading up to Thanksgiving I complete a few simple tasks. By breaking up my meal prep into small chunks that I complete the days leading up to Thanksgiving, I am able to cut down on my Thanksgiving morning stress. This streamlined approach to meal prep will save you a lot of anxiety while simplifying your weekday load leading up to Thanksgiving.
Having a plan was especially helpful when I was working, as I only had a small amount of time in the evenings to dedicate to prepping for Thanksgiving. Being that I am prepping meals during the week, I am actually able to enjoy time with my family on Thanksgiving.
To sum everything up, the following are the downloadable and printable PDFs that I prepared to simplify your Thanksgiving planning:
