Hi my name is Maria and I love reusable bags. There I said it. Are you happy?
I have been in search of the perfect grocery-getting, toy-toting, food-fetching bags for years and have accumulated quite a collection of cheap, branded bags from grocery stores to co-ops t0 farmer’s markets to retail shops. However, am not in love with any of them… Until last week when these beauties arrived.
After seeing Open Sky on KERF, I decided to sign up to receive emails about deals from my choice of several curators (KERF, Bobby Flay, Liz Lang, Alicia Silverstone, etc.). Open Sky is kinda like Groupon, but for home, kitchen, foodie and eco products. Pretty cool, right?
So, when I saw the deal from Devin Alexander on these envi tote I immediately jumped at the opportunity to save $5 per bag. Envi totes are still available on Open Sky for $25 a piece – a little more than what I paid, but still a very good deal for this quality of bag.
Here is the envi tote description from Open Sky: Unlike most, the Envitote is made from heavy-duty canvas with reinforcements – which means the base stays flat to support heavier items at the bottom of the bag, and everything in the bag stays stable even when you’re moving around (no more broken eggs!). It also comes with removable panels that you can add to the bag to give your precious cargo some extra protection.
After using these totes for the last week on a couple shopping trips to Target and Trader Joe’s I am even more in love. Look how much stuff you can fit in each bag!
Also, I love that they stay open so that it is easy to pack and unpack groceries.
Another cool feature is that they can be carried three different ways: with a long, over the shoulder strap; a short, in hand strap or with two hands like a milk crate using the side handles.
Thanks for letting me show off my latest love. 🙂 Last week at Target when I used these bags for the first time and took these pictures, the team member who was checking me out started asking about the envi totes and I sounded like I was getting paid to sell him a bag (which I am not). I just really like these bags that much.
What are you doing this weekend?
We are attending the Malcolm family reunion in Red Wing at a park/water park tomorrow afternoon and are hanging out as a family on Sunday.

Love the bags!
(Here in Norway a box of (local, but not organic) Strawberries is $7.28, two-pack of Romaine Hearts (not organic) is $4.70 – what do you pay?)

Kristen, yikes! You were ot kidding, produce is expensive there. Organic strawberries are under $3 and the package of romaine was under $4.
