I just read this wonderful post on being being Thankful in the Waiting Room by Passionate Homemaking monthly contributor, Natalie Didlake. This is a must-read for anyone who is feeling discouraged by playing the waiting game with God. Sometimes it’s difficult to feel thankful and positive while you are waiting for God to show you the next chapter of your life.
This post hit home because our family is in a season of change… Over the next year, we are feeling led by God to completely overhaul our lives and start from scratch – what an exciting, but anxious season this is indeed! But all the while, it has been encouraging to know that God is in charge, even if he is leading us into the unknown. So, we are blindly following and waiting for his plan to be revealed. We know that as long as we keep our eyes fixed on him, we feel energized and hopeful.
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. Phil 1:6
