Yesterday I finished Stage 5 of New Rules of Lifting for Women. I cannot wait to start Stage 6, it is hands down my favorite stage of the series and I have been looking forward to it since I re-started NROL4W back in September.
NROL4W recommends that for optimal muscle recovery, you take a week off from heavy lifting and organized exercise in between stages. However, I am way too excited to take an entire week off. So, on Monday I plan to start Stage 6, which kicks off with negative chin-ups!!! My goal for this summer is to conquer the elusive pull-up.
Even though I am taking some time off from weight lifting I will be staying active. During this time off I usually do yoga, go for light runs or, when the weather is nice, I go biking. Matthew and I have been praying for sun so that we can start biking on a regular basis.
A couple weeks ago Allan bought be this bad boy and then we bought Matthew a Burley D’Lite off of Craigslist.
I am very excited to finally have a road bike. Now when Allan and I go biking together I can effortlessly keep up with him.
What is your favorite form of exercise?
I am torn between heavy weight lifting, which I love to hate, and biking, which I just love. π
